The best way if you make a copy off the files for the second PC.

Fullscreen start workaround for Host Player

If you want to play in fullscreen and while you connect TTD hangs,

you can try this for the host player: Again: Only Host Player!

While it says it's waiting for Client Player, click several times on TTD in the tasklist of windows until the waiting Window gets inactive. When now the client player join your game, your TTD should get into fullscreen fine.
