Requirements
TTD Patch does not replace TTD, it merely provides a new executable file for it. As such, before installing TTD Patch, you MUST have TTD installed.
Versions
There is a variety of TTD Patch versions available.
Operating System
DOS
DOS TTD Patch only works with the origional DOS version of Tranport Tycoon Deluxe, and only runs on DOS-based systems like Windows 95/98 or ME
Windows
The Windows version of TTD Patch works with the Windows version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, which was produced by Fish UK. This version works on Windows 2000 and XP.
Stability
Stable
Stable versions of TTD Patch are more or less bug-free, but the current stable version (2.0r1) is well over three years old and is thence missing many interesting features. It is available on the main TTD Patch web page.
Alpha
Alpha versions of TTD Patch are released more frequently, but are not tested as much and may contain a variety of bugs and other issues. They are available from this page.
Beta
Beta versions of TTD Patch are released less frequently, and make an attempt at having few bugs. They can be found in the same place as Alpha version.
Nightly
Nightly versions of TTD Patch are built daily from the current development source tree. These contain bleeding-edge features, but are not even garunteed to actually run. They can be found here.
Installing
Once you have downloaded the zip file, you can extract it into your TTD directory (the one where gamegfx.exe/ttd.exe is)
Running
TTD Patch does not modify the origional executable, so you can still use it the play the unmodified version without TTD Patch. Use the ttdpatchw.exe (ttdpatch.exe for DOS) executable to actually play TTD Patch.
